About
Medicinal and Natural Product chemist with an experience of more than 21 years in Pharmaceutical education and research as evident from publications (72; h index 23; i10 index 42; citations 1533; cumulative impact factor more than 275), patents (12 granted; 10 filed, book chapters (4)and copyright (1 awarded). The research accomplishments are in the form of various extramural research projects funded by Government of India (192 lacs) and pharmaceutical industry. Recipient of Senior Research Fellowship by Indian Council of Medical Research, Fast Track Grant for Young Investigator by DST, Rapid Grant for Young Investigator by DBT and Pilot Project Grant in Cancer Biology by DBT. Has played the role of excellent mentor, which is evident by Ph.D scholars working in the top most organizations of the world (Vattikuti Urology Institute, Henry Ford Health System, Detroit MI-48202 USA, Motopharma Limited, Budapest, Hungary and National Singapore University). Current research interests are in the development of new agents for treatment and/or prevention of cancer by modifications of naturally occurring five-ringed triterpenoids, Development of biotin receptor mediated endocytosis based selective anticancer agents and prodrugs.
