Dr. Sweety Sharma is a distinguished academic and researcher in forensic science, currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Biology and Biotechnology at the National Forensic Sciences University, New Delhi. She began her career with a Diploma in Medical Lab Technology, followed by a B.Sc. in Zoology honors, before transitioning to forensic sciences with an M.Sc. in Forensic Sciences and a Postgraduate Diploma in the Criminal Justice System. Her Ph.D. research at Punjabi University, Patiala, focused on the application of ATR FT-IR spectroscopy in body fluid analysis, significantly advancing forensic methodologies. Dr. Sharma’s expertise spans multiple forensic disciplines, including biology, serology, chemistry, anthropology, odontology, diatomology, botany, wildlife forensics, and DNA profiling. She has published 40 research papers in prestigious journals, authored a book titled "Advancement in Body Fluid Analysis in Forensics: Current and Emerging Methods," and contributed 6 authoritative book chapters.
