About

Dr. Proshanto Kr. Saha is currently working as Associate Profoessor in Neuropsychology at School of Behavioural Forensics (SBF). He was recently deputed as Campus Coordinator at the Institute of Forensic Sciences for Training & Skilling (IFS-T&S)-NFSU-Manipur. Additionally, he is also working as Head of Centre in the Centre for Happiness and Well-being wherein he is involved actively in imparting training and consultancy with the help of efficient clinical team to different clients ranging from Juvenile Courts to School children etc.  Moreover, Dr. Saha has recently been appointed at Associate Dean in the School of Doctoral Studies & Research. 

Dr. Proshanto Kr. Saha is a trained Neuropsychologist and Forensic Psychology investigator who has been working at National Forensic Sciences University for the past 10+ years. Dr. Saha is a seasoned academician and administrator with an impressive track record of successful teaching, education and administrative reforms. He has been trained in electrophysiological recordings of human brain in various premier institutes like NBRC, BHU and others across the country and abroad.

Dr. Saha holds a degree of Cognitive Science from CBCS, University of Allahabad and a subsequent doctoral degree from Cognitive Science Laboratory, Banaras Hindu University. After completing his Post-doctoral studies from University of Trento, he joined the National Forensic Sciences University, erstwhile Gujarat Forensic Sciences University in the year 2013 and initiated various academic and research endeavors to build awareness and develop the vibrant field of Neuropsychology and Forensic Investigative techniques in and across the country. He has successfully completed organizing 3 International colloquium as organizing secretary and many national scientific meets in the area of Cyberpsychology, Forensic Psychology, Neurofeedback and Neuropsychology within a span of last nine years.

Dr. Saha has won couple of International and National awards for commendable research work in the area of human cognition. He is involved in an ongoing major DST-CSRI project as PI to measure and develop Neurofeedback Induced Training Module for Juvenile Offenders in the State of Gujarat, India. Dr. Saha has published more than 20 scientific articles in International and National journals of repute and also written two imperative books on Forensic Psychology and Neuropsychology of Aggression. He has been nominated as resource person at various training programs, workshops and national and international conferences from time to time. He is also a member of NFSU Placement Cell and various divisions like BoS, BoF at SBF, NFSU. Dr. Saha is also a reputed editorial team member in national journals and a reviewer in Springer and Cogent Journals pertaining to Forensic Psychology and Neuropsychology domains. He is also pro-actively involved in training police personnel’s and other investigative agencies in the domain of Forensic-neuropsychology. Dr. Saha has been actively working and engaged in the institution building and popularizing the application of Investigative Psychology and Neuropsychology domains in arena of Forensics’ across the country.
