About

Dr. Biswajit Dey is currently deputed as Campus Coordinator at the Institute of Forensic Sciences for Training & Skilling (IFS-T&S)-NFSU-Manipur.

Dr. Dey is a trained and licensed Clinical Psychologist (as per GoI regulation) and has been working as an academician at National Forensic Sciences University (erstwhile, Gujarat Forensic Sciences University), Gandhinagar, Gujarat since January, 2013.

After the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Medical Psychology from University of Calcutta, he had undergone rigorous training in Clinical Psychology from Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), a premier and an age old institute of mental health in India, earlier known as Ranchi European Lunatic Asylum and completed his M.Phil. in the same subject in 2010. Dr. Dey had completed his doctoral degree on the scope and applicability of a foreign psychodiagnostic test in Indian psychiatric population, from Gujarat Forensic Sciences University.

Since more than a decade Dr. Dey has been imparting his knowledge to mental health and allied professionals in various sectors through invited talks, invited lectures, scientific sessions, being panellist in many professional discussions etc. He has organized many national level workshops as organizing Secretary and played key roles in conducting several seminars and conferences. His published scientific papers are mostly in the area of Psychopathology, Neuropsychology and allied fields in scopus and UGC indexed journals. He has more than 20 original and guided scientific paper presentations in various conferences of national and international repute. Three of the papers were selected as the best papers and received awards in their respective scientific sessions. Dr. Dey has been instrumental in skill building of professionals as a resource person in various physical and online platforms. He has also been part of Psychodiagnostic Test Standardization in Indian population in collaboration with University of Minnesota.
