Dr. Dey, an assistant professor of General Physics at National Forensic Sciences University Tripura Campus (NFSU-TC), is currently serving as the Joint Program Coordinator for the B.Sc.-M.Sc. Forensic Science program. Born in Tripura (Kanchanbari) in 1991, he developed a profound passion for science and technology from a young age.
He pursued his M.Sc. in Physics with a specialization in Electronics at Tripura University, A Central University. Subsequently, he embarked on a Ph.D. journey in Material Science, focusing on Thin Film and Nano Science, successfully completing it in 2019. During his academic journey, Dr. Dey had the invaluable opportunity to engage in collaborative research at Osaka University and Yamaguchi University in Japan.
Dr. Dey's research interests lie in the Optical and Electrical characterizations of organic molecules on ultra-thin films for device applications, including Switching devices, Write Once, Read Many (WORM) memory devices, and Resistive Random-Access Memory (RRAM) devices. His work has been published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, and he holds one patent. He has also received multiple awards for his significant contributions to the field.
Moreover, Dr. Dey is dedicated to contributing to NFSU by leveraging his teaching expertise to inspire and mentor students, collaborating with colleagues on research projects, and actively participating in academic and departmental initiatives. Additionally, he aims to integrate current industrial trends and real-world applications into the curriculum, thereby enhancing students' learning experiences and preparing them for successful careers.
Beyond his academic and research activities, Dr. Dey possesses a strong passion for sports and cultural events and is actively involved in this field at NFSU-TC.
