Mr. Shikhar
Gupta, is an Assistant Professor in School of Law, Forensic Justice and Policy
Studies, National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar and is pursuing his
PhD from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi in ‘Law & Artificial
Intelligence’. He is an alumni of
University of Allahabad and completed his LL.M. from Gujarat National Law
University (GNLU). His area of expertise is Information Technology,
Electronic Evidence, AI & Emerging Technologies, and their intersections
with the legal system.
He has
presented papers in various national and international conferences and has also
been invited as a resource person and panel member for various conferences,
seminars and workshops. He has trained
judicial officers, prosecution officers, senior police officers, defence
personnel and forensic experts from across the country on Laws governing
cyberspace including Information Technology Act and Electronic Evidences, Data
privacy frameworks, Online consumer protection frameworks as well as integration
of emerging technologies with law and the legal system at premier training
institutions like LNJN-NICFS and Indian Institute of Public Administration
(IIPA). Having extensive experience in
the interface of law and technology, he advocates for an ethical integration of
cutting edge technologies like ‘AI’ in the Indian society and the legal system
towards ensuring a safe and secure cyberspace and digital well being.
