Dr. Dhrubajyoti Pathak (Msc, MTech, PhD) is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics at the National Forensic Sciences University, Guwahati Campus. He received his Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati in Linguistic Science and Technology, and his MTech in Computer Science and Engineering, with specialization in Information Security from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India. He received an MSc in Computer Science from Gauhati University.
He has over 13 years of experience in leading academic and industrial projects in the areas of Natural Language Processing, Information Security, Database, Database replication, Systems, and machine learning.
He commenced employment with Oracle (Server Technology - Database and Oracle Golden Gate) in Bangalore 2012. He worked as a Software Developer (MTS) for Oracle for two and a half years before becoming a Technical Officer in the Computer and Communication Center at IIT Guwahati in 2014. He was a member of the ERP development team at IIT Guwahati.
He has published his research work in reputed journals such as ACM Transactions on Asian and Low-Resource Language Information Processing (TALLIP) and Natural Language Processing (earlier NLE) Journal. He also published articles in top conferences such as LREC, COLING, AICCSA, CICBA. His areas of interest are low-resource language, question-answering, information security, and digital forensics.
