Dr Vishal Sharma received his BE in ECE from the University of Rajasthan in 2006. He obtained his ME in Embedded Systems from BITS, Pilani in 2010. He received his PhD degree in the year 2019 at IIT Jodhpur, Rajasthan, in the area of Quantum Cryptography, Quantum Information and Communication Technologies (Quantum ICT). He worked in Agrionics Lab at CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh. His research interest includes cyber security, cyber physical systems, Embedded AI computing, Information Security, quantum computation, quantum cryptography and quantum information, image processing, quantum sensors, embedded systems, Classical and Quantum Machine Learning, cloud computing, wireless communications, silicon photonics, Edge/Fog computing, Artificial Intelligence and heterogeneous data analysis, Industrial Internet of Things, computer vision and pattern recognition. He has nine years of research and teaching experience. He served as a Senior Project Fellow for Electronic Nose project in CSIR-CEERI, Pilani. He worked as a Project Engineer in Robotics lab at IIT Rajasthan. He received national and international awards based on his research work. He published significant research papers in renowned journals and credited with twenty granted patents till the date. He completed postdoctoral research from CSIR-CEERI, Pilani, IIT Indore, IIT Kanpur, and IISC Bengaluru. Prior to joining at National Forensic Science, University at Dharwad, Karnataka, as an Assistant Professor, he worked at JGU Mainz University, Germany as an Academic Staff/Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Apart from these, he was associated with Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and Indian Institute of Information Technology Design and Manufacturing, Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, as a Guest faculty and Adjunct Assistant Professor, respectively.
