Dr.
Visha Rathod is a Biotechnologist having expertise in the field of Molecular
Biology. She earned her B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biotechnology from Saurashtra
University. After that Joined as a Research Fellow at Department of Biotechnology,
Junagadh Agricultural University. She earned her PhD degree from Institute of
Science, Nirma University, Ahmedabad. She possesses around 10.5 years of experience
in the field of Biotechnology, working with institutes such as Nirma
University, Junagadh Agriculture University and Swarrnim Startup and Innovation
University. Her Work focuses on PCR and RT-PCR
techniques, 16s rDNA Sequencing and DNA barcoding by 3130XL sequencer, Whole
genome sequencing of Agricultural important Microbe and Fungi, Transcriptome sequencing
of different crops related to abiotic and biotic Stress by lon S5 Sequencing
platform. In addition to Doctorate, she has qualified ICAR-NET and GATE
examinations. She is passionate about Academics. During her tenure as a
Research fellow and Assistant Professor, she has guided several Lab experiments
and conducted classroom lectures. As well as she has been the coordinator of
UGC, ERP and Exam section. Dr. Visha has published research papers in the areas
of Plant Biotechnology and Microbiology and her Doctorate was focused on Plant-
Microbial interactions.
