About

Dr. Kavita Hanamar is an accomplished educator and researcher specializing in physics and material science. She currently teaches General Physics, Engineering Physics, Forensic Physics, and Ballistics-Firearms to B.Sc. and B.Tech students, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications.

With five years of experience as an Assistant Professor at Rani Channamma University, Belagavi, she has taught master's level courses such as Classical Mechanics, Quantum Mechanics, Electronics, Statistical Mechanics, and Mathematical Physics. She has also conducted hands-on experimental training and supervised student research projects in Material Science and Glass Science.

Her research focuses on samarium-activated borate glasses, particularly their mechanical strength, radiation shielding, luminescent, and nonlinear optical properties. Her work aims to develop advanced materials for applications in radiation protection, optoelectronics, and photonics.

Dr. Hanamar emphasizes interdisciplinary teaching, fostering critical thinking and collaborative research. Her vision is to drive innovative advancements in material science, tailoring borate glasses for diverse technological applications. Through her dedication to teaching and research, she bridges academic knowledge with real-world impact.
