Dr. Astha Pandey, an Associate Professor at the School of Forensic Science, National Forensic Sciences University, Gujarat, India; has made major contributions to the fields of Forensic Chemistry and Forensic Toxicology. Having worked in the field of Forensic Sciences for 22 years, Dr Pandey is a beacon of knowledge and expertise in the field of Forensic Science.
Possessing a Ph.D. degree and an
M.Sc. qualification, Dr. Pandey has dedicated her career to teaching, research,
and pioneering advancements in forensic sciences. She currently serves in a key
capacity at the university, managing and contributing to two significant
national initiatives: the Centre of Excellence for Research and Analysis of Narcotic
Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (CoE-NDPS) of the Ministry of Home Affairs,
GoI and the Centre of Excellence on Nutritional Supplements Testing for
Sportspersons (CoE-NSTS) of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, GoI. She
also contributed significantly to several smaller projects, such as two Student
Startup and Innovation Policy (SSIP) initiatives and consulting services in
areas such as NDPS, arson, and anti-dope forensics.
The areas of expertise that Dr.
Astha Pandey covers are extensive and include Explosive analysis,
Petro-forensics, Anti-dope Forensics, Forensic Narcotics and Forensic Science.
