Dr. Barnabas Kodasi (M.Sc., Ph.D.) is an accomplished academician and researcher currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Forensic Chemistry at the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Dharwad campus.
Dr. Kodasi obtained his B.Sc. in Chemistry with first-class distinction from Karnatak Science College, Dharwad, in 2010, followed by an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from Karnatak University, Dharwad, in 2013. In 2018, he embarked on his doctoral journey, receiving a prestigious research fellowship from the Government of Karnataka in recognition of his academic excellence, and completed it in 2023.
With strong research background, Dr. Kodasi has published 13 research papers in high-impact international journals and has actively participated in 09 national and international conferences, training programmes, workshops, and seminars. His research interests span synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and nanochemistry, where he continues to contribute through his expertise and innovative approach.
Dr. Kodasi has gained academic and industrial experience over the years. He worked as an Analytical Chemist at Nandu Chemical Industries, Hubli, in 2011 and later transitioned into academia. From 2015 to 2018, he served as a Lecturer in Chemistry at Fatima College, Belgaum Diocese Board of Education, Hubli. In 2023-2024, he worked as a Teaching Assistant at Karnatak University, Dharwad, and subsequently held the position of Assistant Professor at K.L.E. Society's P. C. Jabin Science College, Hubli, in 2025 before joining NFSU.
Through his commitment to research, teaching and professional development, Dr. Kodasi continues to contribute significantly to the field of forensic chemistry and chemical sciences.
