About

Dr. Ghosh has been serving as an Assistant Professor of Law at the School of Law, Forensic Justice and Policy Studies, National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Prior to that he worked as an Assistant Professor (Law-Senior Grade I) at VIT School of Law, VIT Chennai (NAAC A++ and NIRF 10th ranked best University). Before that, he was serving as Assistant Professor (and also as Assistant Director for 1.5 years) at the School of Criminal law and Military Law (erstwhile SSLECJ/SNSL), Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar, an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India, from 2021 to May 2025.

He is an academician, researcher, and legal professional with a Gold Medal in Master of Laws (LL.M.) and holds a Ph.D. degree from Assam University, Silchar (a Central University established under an Act of Parliament) topping the Ph.D. course work/IPP examination conducted therein. He cleared the UGC-NTA NET examination while pursuing LL.M. in December 2018. He has an academic portfolio that includes 17+ publications in peer-reviewed international journals, chapters in reputed books including contributions to SCOPUS and UGC Care-listed works. He also delivered expert lectures for esteemed organizations such as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Gujarat Police, Daman Police, Nayara Energy Ltd., and Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, officers of Assam University beside delivering invited lectures to international participants of more than 30 countries. His involvement in creating two MOOC content under UGC’s Consortium for Educational Communication and separately developing 30 hour video content on Indian Constitution as a visiting faculty under the School of Internal Security, Defence and Strategic Studies, RRU further enhances legal education through innovative platforms.

Beyond academia, he demonstrated organizational skills by coordinating a range of capacity-building programmes and training sessions for law enforcement, statutory officials, and corporate executives, academics among others. These include seven editions of week-long training programs for CBI Law Officers and specialized workshops for police officers on cybercrime, CCTNS, and new criminal laws, national FDPs, webinars, moot court & trial advocacy competitions etc. His academic contribution has been recognized with several awards, including the Anundoram Borooah Award (2010) by the Government of Assam and the Subinoy Chandra Dutta Roy Gold Medal (2019) by Assam University, Silchar for securing the first position in his LL.M. examination. With expertise in Criminal Law, Constitutional Law, Cyber Laws, and the Law of Evidence, he brings a multidisciplinary approach to my work.
