Dr. Hanumantappa B Nayaka from Koppal District, Karnataka, completed his higher education B.Sc., M.Sc., M. Phil, Ph.D. in Biotechnology from Gulbarga University, Gulbarga (Karnataka) and Post-Doctoral Fellow in the University of Polytechnica Valencia (UPV-IMBCP), Spain. He got UGC-JRF, UGC-SRF, Svagata Fellowship from Europe Commission. Summer Research Fellow CCMB in 2007, in IISc in 2008, Best Poster Award in 2008, DBT Training in 2009, Best Teaching Faculty Award in 2019, CSIR-TLEP at IICT Hyderabad, Best Student Award in 2008, Best Researcher Award in 2020, Global Teacher Award in 2020, Educator excellence Award 2020, worked as Asst. Professor in Samara University Ethiopia, Kristu Jayanti Deemed University and also worked as Scientific Officers in Biology section in Karnataka State Forensic Science Laboratory (SFSL) Police Dept. Govt. Karnataka, He also Member of various Science Bodies in India and abroad, Member for BOS, BoE, Academic Council Member. He joined National Forensic Science University in 2025 in the Department of Forensic Science. The technological quality and expertise of Dr. H. B. Nayaka Lab is reflected in an extensive track record of publications with over 22 peer-reviewed papers, citations above 240, H-Index 8. Also completed 1 Minor Project, 2 community projects, 3 Students Projects, Authored one book on Phytochemistry and Antifertility, contributed one book chapter in book editions. He had successfully Co-guided 01 Ph.D. student and supervised more than 25 master students.
