Dr. Ujjal Das is an Assistant Professor at the National Forensic Science University, Guwahati, since July 2026. He completed his Ph.D. in Physics from the National Institute of Technology Silchar and subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, followed by an ANRF National Postdoctoral Fellowship at IISER Pune.
His research focuses on data storage devices, neuromorphic hardware, optoelectronics, and biodegradable electronics. His research experience encompasses nanocrystal synthesis and thin-film deposition of halide perovskites, metal oxides, metal chalcogenides and biopolymers.
Dr. Das has published 29 research articles, along with 5 conference proceedings and 2 book chapters, and has 3 patents.
