Program Overview

The exponential growth of information technology and of threats to information security has brought an awakening to the risk hackers can pose to people, businesses, governments, and all other types of organizations with information exposed on public information networks like the internet. More recently, business leaders have begun to recognize that information security is not strictly a technical enterprise. For a company to be organized and operated effectively and efficiently, there must be some kind of plan as to how best to apply limited resources. Optimally, there must be careful assessments of the risks and thoughtful strategy for the allocation of funds and personnel to yield maximum benefit. Managers of cybersecurity operations are responsible for this allocation of resources, which makes them a critical component of cybersecurity effectiveness. These management positions require a strong grasp of not only the technical aspects of cybersecurity, but what impact cyber-threats have on a business, and how to assess and manage the risk of potential attacks. A strong business background combined with an understanding of cybersecurity can provide the knowledge to analyze risks associated with each type of cyber threat and then apply the appropriate resources to managing the threat and the risk. The MBA in Cyber Security Management program will help the students to prepare and implement the strategies for Cyber Security in the organization. The graduating student of this program will become an expert in effective implementation and monitoring of the Security Controls and Cyber Security Plan. They will be well versed in the selection of security controls, aligning controls with important data that is to be protected, prioritize the control to be implemented in first design security controls and also train the employees and users affected by controls.

Eligibility Criteria

BCA/B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. in (Computer Engineering/Computer Science/ Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology/ Information and Communication Technology/ Cyber Security/Electronics and Communication) OR Any graduate with specialization in Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Computer Application/ Cyber Security etc. From recognized University with at least 55% for General/OBC/EWS category candidates and 50% OR equivalent for SC/ST and PwD category candidates. Candidates appearing in the final year of the Bachelor’s degree can also apply subject to meeting minimum eligibility criteria within the prescribed time limit as decided by the University.
