Course objective: 1. To develop an inter-disciplinary approach in relation to drug and substance abuse laws in the country. 2. To evaluate the legal and regulatory framework concerning drug and substance abuse existing in the country. 3. To develop a global legal approach relating to mitigate the drug and substance abuse cases. 4. To inculcate the skill of interpretation of drug and substance abuse laws through judicial cases. 5. To enhance the skill based approach through experiential learning. 6. To orient about the emerging trends and issues relating to drug and substance abuse in the contemporary times. Learning Outcomes: After completion of this program students will be able to- 1. Develop an understanding of the different legal frameworks existing in India vis-à-vis in the USA and UK. 2. Critically evaluate the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and understand the application of forensic science in determination of the kind of drug and substance abuse. 3. Demonstrate a critical understanding of the emerging issues and trends in the drug and substance abuse.

Graduate degree from any discipline with minimum 50% for General/ OBC (NCL)/ EWS category candidates, and 45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates. Admission shall be undertaken is on the basis of merit list drawn out Bachelor’s Percentage obtained by candidates in their respective graduation course.
