The School of Doctoral Studies & Research (SDSR), here at National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) was established to strengthen the research culture and empower scientific environment that facilitates not only interdisciplinary research, but also heighten the knowledge in the frontiers of Forensic Science and Crime Investigation. The School intends towards rendering outstanding training, support and guidance to the students, thereby developing their skills in the field of research. Pursuing a doctoral degree at NFSU makes you stand among the extraordinary minds in the field of Forensic Sciences in the entire country as well as the world. The doctoral programs offered by SDSR, viz. Ph.D., D.Sc. and Post Doctorate develop research competence of students for their career advancement in industry as well as in academia. The School comprises of following faculties in which, a doctoral degree can be taken up: Faculty of Forensic Science, Pharmacy, Nanotechnology, Engineering, Behavioral Science, Computer Science & Technology, and Management. Different specialized domains of Forensic Science such as Biology, Genetics, Nanotechnology, Pharmacy, Food Technology, Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Toxicology, Documentation, Ballistics, Analytical Chemistry, Computer and Cyber Forensics come under these faculties. The faculty members available as supervisors for doctoral students are highly skilled, have well-accredited research experience and are committed towards their research. The School provides state-of-the-art laboratory facilities along with advanced instruments, which assist in the overall development of students as skilled and professional researchers. At present, more than 85 Research Scholars including Indian as well as Foreign Nationals have been registered under SDSR, and a whole new batch of International Scholars are going to be registered. These Scholars are availing fellowships/scholarships from various funding agencies such as UGC, ICCR, DST, DBT, CSIR, SHODH. NFSU also provides fellowship to students who are not receiving financial support from any other funding source.
