Shri G. Narendra Nath, ITS, Joint Secretary, National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), Govt. of India visited the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, on 13th May, 2023. He was accompanied by Shri Gyanendra Bahadur, Deputy Secretary, National Security Council Secretariat (NSCS), Govt. of India. Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director-NFSU-Gandhinagar, welcomed them with a bouquet, stole and memento and briefed them about this unique and highly specialized University's various activities. Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare said that under the guidance of Padma Shri, Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU, the world's first and only Forensic Sciences University, is trying to strengthen the forensic capabilities in the country and abroad as well. Air Commodore K.R. Thaakar, Dean, School of Police Sciences & Security Studies, also gave a detailed briefing with a presentation and short video about National Forensic Sciences University – highlighting the academic curriculum, training, and consultancy. They also visited various state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities such as the Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security, the Centre of Excellence in Investigative and Forensic Psychology, the Ballistics Research Centre and Testing Range and the Centre of Excellence in Narcotics Drugs & Psychotropic Substances (NDPS). During the visit, Dr. Divyesh Bhagat, Joint Registrar-NFSU; Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar, Dean, School of Forensic Science-NFSU; Dr. Prasenjit Maity, Dean, School of Engineering & Technology-NFSU; Air Commodore K.R. Thaakar, Dean, School of Police Sciences & Security Studies-NFSU; Dr. Parag Rugani, Dean, School of Open Learning-NFSU; Dr. Digvijaysinh Rathod, Associate Dean, School of Cyber Security and Digital Forensics-NFSU; Dr. Haresh Barot, Associate Dean, School of Management Studies-NFSU and Dr. Priyanka Kacker, Associate Dean, School of Behavioural Forensics-NFSU were present.
