The School of Law, Forensic Justice & Policy Studies, National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar organized the “Deeksharambh: The Induction Program of the Batch2023” of B.Sc.; LL.B. (Hons.), LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. (Cyber Law and Cyber Crime Investigation) and LL.M. (Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Administration) on July 26, 2023. Around 150 students and parents were a part of the Inaugural Ceremony. The Chief Guest Hon’ble Mr. Justice C. K. Thakker in his Inaugural address, congratulated the students for choosing this noble profession of law and appreciated NFSU’s remarkable contribution in integration of law & forensics in the quest forjustice and serving the justice administration system of the country. He emphasized on the paramount principle of ensuring no innocent is punished and no guilty go free, lauding NFSU’s pivotal role in upholding this principle within the Indian criminal justice administration. Further, Padma Shri Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of NFSU Dr. J.M. Vyas expatiated about the journey to NFSU, how the brainchild of the Gujarat Government under the eminent leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they established the University. Sir further spoke on the significance of legal education in the delivering of justice through forensics; and heartily welcomed the students of NFSU. For the program, Dr. S.O. Junare, Campus Director, NFSU, Gandhinagar welcomed the new students and gave a brief overview of the infrastructural facilities and human resources at the University. Sir spoke at length about the academic regulations, life at NFSU, well equipped library facilities, quality of teaching staff, expert based design of curriculum, ragging free campus and wished all the students a fulfilling and successful Academic Session 2022-2023. Also, Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Dean, School of Law, Forensic Justice & Policy Studies, NFSU while welcoming the new students, spoke about the vision and mission of the law school and gave a brief introduction of the programmes. Prof. Pokhariyal encouraged the students to learn law with an inquisitive and a dialogical approach.
