Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, India inaugurates the 12th annual International Association of Police Academies (INTERPA) conference jointly organized by the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) and INTERPA at Gandhinagar, Gujarat on 22nd November, 2023. More than 110 Senior Police Officers and professionals from 31 countries along with a member of ASEANAPOL are participating in the conference. This year’s theme is ‘Policing at Times of Technological Accidents and Natural Disasters’. During the Inauguration Ceremony, President of the INTERPA Prof. Yilmaz Colak, Ph.D., Head of Turkish National Police Academy; Dr J.M. Vyas, founder Vice Chancellor of NFSU-India; and Director-General of Police Shri Vikas Sahay were present. President of the INTERPA Prof. Yilmaz Colak thanked NFSU for providing a platform for deliberations on the role of policing on a highly specialised topic of disaster and crises management. INTERPA is the largest International Association of Police Academies with 80 Member institutions from 63 countries. The Conference provides a forum for experts to exchange ideas, discuss challenges and provide an environment to encourage collaboration and exchange of innovative insights. In the Inauguration Ceremony, Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director-NFSU, Gandhinagar; Shri C.D. Jadeja, Executive Registrar, NFSU; Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Kumar Chaudhary, Campus Director-NFSU-Goa; Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Campus Director-NFSU-Delhi; Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar, Campus Director-NFSU-Bhopal; Deans of various schools, faculty members, Senior Police Officers, experts and students of NFSU were present.
