A Team from SCSDF, NFSU grabbed the winning prize in Smart India Hackathon -2023 Software Edition (a nationwide initiative, offering students a platform to address pressing issues faced by various Government Ministries and Departments, industries, and other organizations – aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision) organized by Ministry of Education. The grand finale for the Problem Statement No. SIH1389 (Centralized log collection facility for power sector complying with the guidelines of CEA 2021) provided by the Ministry of Power was organized at GIET University, Gunupur, Odisha. The grand finale hackathon continued for 36 hours which included 3 rounds of mentoring & 3 rounds of evaluation by the panel members from the Ministry of Power. The solution designed mainly comprises Open-Source Tools & Techniques for creation of parsers to filter data / logs and implementation of concepts like unidirectional flow, data normalization, real-time data parsing & analysis, visualizations, etc. The team was composed of students from Vibha BG (M.Sc. DFIS – Sem 3) – Team Leader, Abhinit Ingole (M.Sc. DFIS – Sem 1), Debojyoti Gupta (M.Sc. DFIS – Sem 1), Chethan M (M.Sc. DFIS – Sem 1), Thrisha A Disley (M.Sc. DFIS – Sem 1), Khushi Bansal (B.Tech. CSE (CS) – Sem 5) led by the mentor Mr. Ramya Shah & Dr. Ujjaval Patel.
