Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Iyengar, Emeritus Professor of National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar had given presentation on "Centre of Excellence in AI-ML powered Under Water Forensics for Maritime Justice (CoE UWF)" on 14th March, 2024. Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Iyengar was felicitated by Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU for his remarkable achievement. Notably, Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Iyengar was appointed as the Director of Asian Digital Forensic Education and Research Director for the Prestigious Global Forensic and Justice Centre (GFJC) by Dr. K.G. Furton of Florida International University (FIU, Miami-USA). During the felicitation ceremony, Dr. J.M. Vyas congratulated for his achievement and said in his presidential address that NFSU is entering in the new area of Under Water Forensics with the direct guidance of Emeritus Professor of NFSU, Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Iyengar. We will have one more feather at NFSU-Gandhinagar in near future named "Centre of Excellence in AI-ML powered Under Water Forensics for Maritime Justice (CoE UWF)". He will be heading this CoE UWF. In this new field, underwater robotics and underwater drones will be the part of CoE. So, any crime will take place, on the earth or under water will be taken care of by Forensic Experts. Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Iyengar said that this is first in the world for under water forensics for Maritime Justice at NFSU. This proposal is the first of its kind to revolutionize how under water crime scenes are investigated by harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). This transformative approach aims to not only address the challenges associated with under water crime investigation but also to establish nexus innovation, research and collaboration in the realm of maritime justice. Moreover, Prof. (Dr.) S.S. Iyengar's path breaking discovery known as Brooks-Iyengar algorithm discovered in 1996 is a milestone in his career. This discovery has led to a breakthrough in the use of sensors in various applications across the globe. Prof. Iyengar has been awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the field of Digital Forensics during the 7th Interpol Digital Forensic Expert Group (DFEG) Meeting at NFSU-Gandhinagar in the year 2022. He has won more than 100 awards globally and he has written 32 books and 600 research papers. During the presentation, Prof. (Dr.) S.O.
