High Power Expert Group Meeting on 'Strengthening Criminal Justice System through Enhanced Forensic Efficiency' was held at National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU)-Gandhinagar on 18th May, 2024. During the function, Hon'ble Mr. Justice Vikram Nath, Judge, Supreme Court of India; Hon'ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal, Judge, Supreme Court of India; Hon'ble Justice Arun Kumar Mishra, Chairman, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), India; Shri R. Venkataramani, Attorney General for India; Shri Tushar Mehta, Solicitor General of India; Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, IAS, Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India; Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU and Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Campus Director, NFSU-Delhi released New Criminal Law books namely - Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita-2023; Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita-2023 and Bhartiya Sakshya Adhiniyam-2023. Shri Shyamal Misra, IAS, Additional Secretary, MHA, Govt. of India; Dr. S.K. Jain, Director-DFS, MHA, Govt. of India; were also present. Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare Campus Director, NFSU-Gandhinagar and Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Kumar Chaudhary, Campus Director, NFSU-Goa moderated the panel discussion. Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Campus Director, NFSU-Delhi, briefed about NFSU with a presentation. Hon'ble Dr. Justice Kaushal J. Thaker, Chairperson, Gujarat State Human Rights Commission, Govt. of Gujarat gave the vote of thanks. During the function, Hon'ble Judges, Law Experts and dignitaries from the Law fraternity were present.
