National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) celebrated 78th Independence Day on 15th August, 2024. Padma Shri Awardee, Dr. J. M. Vyas, Vice-Chancellor of NFSU hoisted the National Flag on the occasion of Independence Day at Gandhinagar Campus. Chief Guest of the Independence Day Celebration-2024, Shri Shreekrishna Mulmi, Director-National Judicial Academy of Nepal; Guest of Honour Dr. Dalbir Ahlawat, Macquarie University, Sydney-Australia; Shri Mehul Dave, District Collector of Gandhinagar; Dr. J. M. Vyas, Vice-Chancellor, NFSU; Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director, NFSU-Gandhinagar; Shri C.D. Jadeja, Executive Registrar-NFSU; Deans, faculty members, NSS students of NFSU planted saplings as part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign following the call of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji. The tree plantation campaign was supported by Forest Department-Government of Gujarat; NGO-Sadgamaya and NSS Unit of NFSU. Students and staff also gave speeches on various subjects related to patriotism. In his Independence Day speech, Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU emphasized the importance of excellence and honest efforts. He called upon to actively participate in India’s development and self-reliance, echoing Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.’ Let’s overcome psychological barriers and wholeheartedly contribute to nation-building. Dr. J.M. Vyas paid homage to the freedom fighters and martyrs. The Vice-Chancellor also congratulated the university staff and NSS students for participating in the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign and organizing the “Tiranga Yatra” as well. Deans; Associate Deans; Faculty Members, staff and students were present on the occasion of Flag Hoisting Ceremony.
