In a resolute stand against ragging, National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) in Gandhinagar marked a week of unwavering commitment to fostering a safe and respectful campus environment. From August 12 to 18, 2024, the institution observed the Anti-Ragging Week, aligning with the guidelines set forth by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Anti-Ragging Day, inaugurated on August 12, witnessed spirited participation from students, faculty, and administrative staff. The students also took the Anti-Ragging Pledge. The campus echoed with slogans denouncing ragging, emphasizing NFSU’s steadfast dedication to maintaining a ragging-free atmosphere. Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director of NFSU-Gandhinagar, attributed this success to the visionary leadership of Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU. Since its inception, NFSU has prioritized creating an environment where every student feels secure and respected. Prof. Junare further said that during the week, authorities engaged students in discussions about the perils of ragging and emphasized the importance of collective efforts to eradicate it. An anti-ragging march within the campus served as a powerful visual reminder of the university’s commitment to student welfare. To foster camaraderie and promote positive interactions, NFSU organized various competitions, encouraging students to express their creativity and solidarity. As the week concluded, the message remained clear: NFSU stands united against ragging, advocating for a campus free from fear and intimidation.
