National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar celebrated the Teachers’ Day on 5th September, 2024. The event was held to commemorate the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, highlighting the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the future of students and inculcating innovative education pedagogy. On this occasion, Padma Shri Awardee, Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor, NFSU felicitated seven faculty members for their outstanding performance. Awards were given to Dr. Bappi Paul; Dr. Nilay Mistry; Dr. Jayrajsinh Sarvaiya; Dr. Malay Shukla; Dr. Pranav R. Dave; Dr Bhoomika Patel and Dr. Deepak Mashru for their remarkable contribution in Teaching, Scientific Research, Consultancy Services, Training & Capacity Building and Institution Building. Padma Shri Awardee, Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU said in his presidential address that a teacher must embody four essential qualities: availability, accessibility, approachability, and authenticity in knowledge. These attributes ensure that teachers are always there for their students, providing guidance and support. For students, being an eager seeker of knowledge is crucial, as it leads them from darkness to light, illuminating their path to success. Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director, NFSU-Gandhinagar said in his speech that teachers play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our nation. Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Campus Director, NFSU-Delhi; Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar, Campus Director, NFSU-Bhopal also addressed the gathering on the occasion. Dr. William Belcher, USA; Prof. (Dr.) G.Rajesh Babu, Dean, SMLS; Prof. (Dr.) Asha Srivastava, Dean, SBF; Prof. (Dr.) Akshat Mehta, Dean, SPSSS and Prof. (Dr.) Parag Rughani, Dean, SoL were present on the stage. During the function, Deans and Associate Deans of various schools of NFSU, staff and students were present.
