The grant will aim to integrate Bharatiya Knowledge Systems into contemporary higher education. Dr. Deepak J. Mashru, Assistant Professor at National Forensic Sciences University, is spearheading a transformative project aimed at integrating Bharatiya Knowledge Systems (BKS) into India’s higher education. Recently awarded ₹2 crore by the ICSSR, this initiative aligns with NEP 2020 and aims to revive India’s intellectual heritage through a structured, standardized BKS curriculum that spans across the Bharat. Collaborating with Dr. Ami Upadhyay, Vice Chancellor, BAOU and Prof. Dushyant Nimavat, Gujarat University, Dr. Mashru brings his expertise in innovative teaching methodologies and digital content creation, developing engaging digital resources like MOOCs, e-books, and interactive modules. This ambitious project, grounded in a nationwide survey, also focuses on comprehensive teacher training, empowering educators to deliver culturally rich and academically rigorous content. Through his interdisciplinary insights and commitment to bridging traditional wisdom with modern education, Dr. Mashru’s contributions promise to produce culturally conscious, knowledgeable learners ready for a Viksit Bharat @2047.
