76th Republic Day was celebrated at National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar. Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU unfurled the National Flag on 26th January, 2025. The Chief Guest of the function was Pujya Swami Viditatmanand Ji, President, Adhyatma Vidya Mandir, Ahmedabad. Pujya Swami Vidyatmanand Ji, as the chief guest, highlighted that freedom was attained through significant sacrifices and must be valued by the current generation. He emphasized that the right to liberty, enshrined in the Indian Constitution, comes with responsibilities. He urged humanity to use intellect and free will wisely to assist mankind and avoid negative consequences. He also referenced Vedanta and the Bhagavad Gita, noting that respecting life and living with responsibility are essential. Padma Shri Awardee, Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU articulated that the Indian Constitution delineates societal conduct through its do’s and don'ts. He highlighted the human's insight into teaching responsibility by controlling human values and free will. He also stressed the importance of protecting individuals from being forced to incriminate themselves, thus ensuring the right to personal freedom. Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director, NFSU-Gandhinagar, gave the welcome address and highlighted the importance of nation-building, where all should contribute with dedication. Dr. Deepak Mashru, Asst. Professor, NFSU-Gandhinagar gave insight about the Constitution of India. Demonstrating unwavering patriotism and discipline, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers showcased their dedication by actively participating in the grand Republic Day Parade, symbolizing the spirit of national service and unity. The celebrations were further enriched with vibrant cultural performances, including a patriotic group dance, soulful poetry recitation, and melodious singing of patriotic songs, evoking a deep sense of pride and reverence for the nation. Air Commodore Kedar Thaakar, Campus Director, NFSU-Uganda; Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar, Campus Director, NFSU-Bhopal; Deans of various schools; faculty members; students and staff remained present during the function.
