Military Hospital Ahmedabad signed MoU with National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar on 13-02-2025 for academic collaboration between the two institutions. The MoU signing ceremony was graced by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of NFSU, Dr. J.M. Vyas. Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare (Campus Director, NFSU-Gandhinagar); Prof. (Dr.) Naveen K. Chaudhary (Campus Director, NFSU-Goa); Brig. Sanjeev Sengupta, Commandant Military Hospital, Ahmedabad; Brig. Anil Kakade Military Hospital Ahmedabad; Col. Lovely Thomas, Principal Matron Military Hospital Ahmedabad; Lt. Col. Sanjay Kumar, Psychiatrist Military Hospital Ahmedabad; & Prof. (Dr.) Asha Srivastava (Dean, School of Behavioural Forensics); Prof. (Dr.) Smita Pandey (Associate Dean, School of Behavioural Forensics); Faculty Members and Scientific staff of the School of Behavioural Forensics were present during the MoU. Padma Shri Awardee, Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU & country’s distinguished Forensic Scientist, in discussion with Commandant Sanjeev Sengupta, explained the scope of this collaboration for all super specialist labs in all fields of Forensics and 16 divisions of Forensic Sciences at the National Forensic Sciences University. Prof. Dr. S.O. Junare emphasized on the need for Forensic Investigation tools in the Military setup and areas where NFSU can facilitate capacity building of Military Personnel. Prof. (Dr.) Naveen K. Chaudhary oriented the commandant and officials towards recent demands of Forensic Investigations in Cyber and Digital Forensics. This collaboration will prove to be a unique and pivotal initiative between both parties, with a mutual exchange of resources and opportunities for skill development.
