National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, celebrated World Environment Day on 5th June'25. Padma Shri Dr. J.M. Vyas, founder Vice Chancellor of NFSU, planted the sapling of Sindoor on this auspicious day to mark the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0” initiative. The planting of a Sindoor (Bixa Orellana) sapling on the occasion of the World Environment Day stands as a powerful symbol of courage and visionary leadership, reflecting the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s dedication to sustainable progress. The students of NSS Unit of NFSU also participated in the Climate Action Summit on the occasion of World Environment Day, which was jointly organised by UNICEF India.
