Prof. (Dr.) Naveen Kumar Chaudhary & Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar from National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), India, visited Guyana from 23-26 June 2025. The visit aimed at forensic capacity building and strengthening of criminal justice in Guyana. The outcome of the visit included operational tour, strategic meetings, and collaborative discussions with key security and law enforcement agencies. The NFSU delegation and Senior Guyanese officials emphasised on knowledge exchange, technical support, and the exploration of joint research and training initiatives. Honourable Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Robeson Benn, Guyana expressed appreciation for the productive collaboration, noting that the visit has laid a strong foundation for the establishment of a Caribbean Regional Centre of Excellence in Forensic Science. This visit of NFSU delegation marks a significant milestone in the ongoing partnership between Guyana and India, underscoring a shared commitment to safer communities, enhanced justice systems, and scientific innovation.
