National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) celebrated 79th Independence Day on 15th August, 2025. Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director, NFSU-Gandhinagar, hoisted the National Flag on the occasion of Independence Day at the Gandhinagar Campus. Shri C.D. Jadeja, Executive Registrar, NFSU and Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar, Campus Director, NFSU-Bhopal were present on the dais. NCC Cadets and NSS Volunteers of the University participated in the impressive march past with patriotism and discipline. Patriotic songs were performed by the NFSU students and staff as well. Fostering a sense of global solidarity and intercultural dialogue, Foreign Students also gave speeches on various subjects related to Patriotism. On this auspicious occasion of Independence Day, Prof.(Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director of NFSU, paid homage to the freedom fighters and martyrs. He said that NFSU is deeply committed to serving the nation with unwavering patriotism and purpose. Prof. Junare said that NFSU has launched a nationwide campaign titled "One Letter to the Sons of Mother India" from today until 17th September, honoring the birthday of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji with a patriotic tribute following Operation Sindoor. As part of the initiative, students will write heartfelt handwritten letters in Rajbhasha Hindi language to soldiers and the families of martyrs, expressing gratitude for their unwavering service to the nation. As part of the tribute, 7,500 letters will be sent to soldiers nationwide, while 75 specially selected messages will be showcased on a 75-foot “Veeranjali Pillar,” symbolizing enduring gratitude and patriotic pride. On this occasion Prof. (Dr.) Junare thanked the Vice Chancellor of NFSU, Padma Shri Awardee, Dr. J.M. Vyas, for his important role and contribution for strengthening forensic capabilities of India. He further said that NFSU has rapidly expanded with 14 campuses across India and an international presence in Jinja, Uganda—highlighting its leadership in advancing forensic science to strengthen India’s justice system and boost conviction rates nationwide. Deans, Associate Deans, Faculty Members, staff, and students were present on the occasion of the Flag Hoisting Ceremony.
