Students of M.Sc. Cyber Security, School of Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, Tejas Navnath Mane (Team Lead, Semester-3) and Jiya Manishkumar Joshi (Semester-1) Representing Team Veyra have clinched a prize in the Google Gen AI Exchange Hackathon – Student Track, organized by Google Cloud & Hack2Skill. The team was honoured with a ₹1,00,000 cash prize for their innovation and societal impact. Padma Shri Awardee Dr. J.M. Vyas, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of NFSU congratulated the team on this achievement. With over 2.7 lakh developers participating across India, this recognition marks an extraordinary achievement. Their project SatyaCheck AI is an innovative misinformation detection & education platform. It empowers users to verify credible information by analyzing text, images, audio, and video, while educating through IVR systems, WhatsApp bots, and browser extensions — making fact‑checking inclusive and accessible to all.
