77th Republic Day was celebrated at National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar. Padma Shri Awardee, Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor of NFSU unfurled the National Flag on 26th January, 2026. The event was graced by the presence of Major General Aidar Saitbekov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who was the Chief Guest. Major General Saitbekov also led a five-member delegation from Kazakhstan, highlighting the spirit of international cooperation and strengthening academic and cultural ties between the two nations. The Guests of Honour were Prof. Stephen Barnes from Pennsylvania State University, USA, and Shri Parindu Bhagat, Professor of Practice at NFSU. Demonstrating unwavering patriotism and discipline, NCC cadets and NSS volunteers showcased their dedication by actively participating in the grand Republic Day Parade, symbolizing the spirit of national service and unity. The celebrations were further enriched with vibrant cultural performances, including a patriotic group dance, soulful poetry recitation, and melodious singing of patriotic songs. Prof. (Dr.) S.O.
