The National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar, successfully organized Nyaya Abhyuday 2.0-Techno-Legal Fest, its flagship Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Competition, reinforcing its commitment to advancing techno-legal education and experiential learning. The event witnessed participation from over 45 teams from across the country, representing states including Delhi, Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Nyaya Abhyuday 2.0 comprised two major competitive segments-Moot Court and Trial Advocacy— featuring 28 teams and 20 teams respectively, designed to provide participants with comprehensive exposure to both appellate and trial-level advocacy. The Moot Court Competition culminated in final rounds adjudicated by distinguished members of the judiciary, including Justice Bhargav D. Karia, Judge, High Court, Gujarat; Justice Nirzar S. Desai, Judge, High Court, Gujarat, and Justice P. P. Bhatt, Former Judge, High Court, Gujarat, who also graced the occasion as Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and Distinguished Guest respectively. Their presence underscored the academic rigor and professional significance of the competition. The Trial Advocacy finals were evaluated by an eminent panel comprising Sr. Adv. H.C. Gujarat, Mitesh Amin, Government Pleader. H.C. Gujarat, Gurusharan H Virk, and Adv. H.C. Gujarat, Hardik Dave, whose expertise contributed to a robust assessment of courtroom skills, including witness examination and evidentiary handling. The valedictory ceremony was graced by Padma Shri Awardee Dr J. M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor, NFSU, Director General of the Directorate of Forensic Science; Prof. (Dr.) S. O. Junare, Campus Director, NFSU, Gandhinagar; and Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Dean, School of Law, Forensic Justice & Policy Studies and Campus Director, NFSU, Delhi Campus. Awards in the Moot Court segment were conferred across multiple categories, including Winner - Centre of Excellence, School of Law, Gujarat University, Runners-up - Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University, Best Memorial - Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Science, Best Speaker - Banaras Hindu University, and Best Researcher - Institute of Law, Nirma University. The Trial Advocacy Competition recognised excellence through awards for Winner - MKES College of Law, Runners-up - Institute of Law, Nirma University, Best Examination-in-Chief - Maharashtra National Law University, and Best Cross Examination - National Forensic Sciences University, Delhi Campus. Nyay Abhyuday 2.0 stands as a testament to NFSU's continued commitment to fostering excellence in techno-legal education and advancing practice-oriented learning.
