Students of M.Sc. Cyber Security, School of Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, Tejas Navnath Mane (Team Lead, Semester-4) and Jiya Manishkumar Joshi (Semester-2), representing Team Cryptara, secured the 2nd Runner-Up position at the Cyber Security Innovation Challenge (CSIC) 1.0 organized under the Information Security Education and Awareness (ISEA) initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India, in association with Data Security Council of India (DSCI) and C-DAC Hyderabad. The team was awarded a cash prize of ₹5,00,000 for their innovative cybersecurity solution. Their project, “Lightweight Post-Quantum Messaging,” focused on developing a lightweight Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) secure communication solution for mobile and IoT environments. The system integrates PQC-based encryption with a zero-knowledge relay architecture to ensure privacy-preserving and quantum-resilient communication optimized for constrained devices, addressing emerging cybersecurity challenges in the quantum era. The team was recognized among the top cybersecurity innovation teams nationally under CSIC 1.0 for developing indigenous future-ready cybersecurity solutions aligned with quantum-safe communication requirements.
