NFSU, Gandhinagar, signed a historic MoU with the Digital India Bhashini Division (DIBD), MeitY, Government of India, to bring the power of AI-driven language translation to criminal investigations and forensic science on 8th July, 2026. Shri Amitabh Nag, CEO-Digital India Bhashini Division and Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director, NFSU-Gandhinagar addressed the workshop, where BHASHINI's AI tools were showcased live. The partnership will help break down language barriers that agencies often face when examining evidence, enabling faster, more accurate outcomes. A Joint Working Centre will be set up at NFSU to drive ongoing research and collaboration, while also strengthening the university's mission of training forensic and law-enforcement professionals from across the world.
