School of Forensic Science, National Forensic Sciences University as a part of expert lecture series, organized an Expert lecture by Dr. Mark Perlin, Chief Scientific, and Executive Officer at Cybergenetics, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States on 09th February, 2023. Dr. Perlin delivered lecture on “The Science and Law of Automated DNA evidence interpretation”. During the lecture, he emphasized upon the importance of probabilistic identity and likelihood ratio analysis while interpretation of DNA profiles in Forensics. Dr. Perlin also discussed on the importance of error rates, reliability standards for DNA profiling, and importance of Random Match probability in forensics. The talk was attended by Faculty members, Research Scholars, and Students of various Schools of NFSU. During the talk Prof. (Dr.) Satish Kumar, Dean, School of Forensic Science gave a closing remark.
