A 19-member team of the National Defence College at New Delhi, comprising senior officers from Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and friendly foreign countries, visited National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gujarat Campus, Gandhinagar on 14th March, 2023. The team was briefed about various activities and capabilities of this 'Institution of National Importance'. They also interacted with the Vice Chancellor, Dr. J.M. Vyas on wide-ranging issues, ranging from technology, legal framework, training for Service Officers, and even about creating world's first and the only Forensics University. Air Commodore K.R. Thaakar, Dean, School of Police Science and Security Studies, Dr. Surbhi Mathur, Associate Professor, School of Forensic Science, and Major General Jalaj Bhola, Advisor Armed Forces Projects, also interacted with the team. The team thereafter visited Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Cyber Security, CoE in Investigative & Forensic Psychology, and Ballistics Research Centre & Testing Range.
