National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), Gandhinagar organized the "Sports Week-2023" (16 to 22 March) along with "अन्नं ब्रह्म 1.0 - NFSU Food Festival" & "Sur Sangam" (Musical Evening) on 22nd March, 2023. Dr. J.M. Vyas, Vice Chancellor, NFSU, Shri C.D. Jadeja, Executive Registrar, NFSU and Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Campus Director-NFSU, Gandhinagar distributed Trophies & Medals to winners of various games on 23rd March, 2023. Notably, more than 1500 candidates participated in 14 different Games including Cricket, Shuttle Badminton, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Carrom, Chess, Table Tennis, Tug of War, Long Jump, High Jump, 100 Meters and 400 Meters Sprint. All the coordinators of Sports, Food-Fest and Musical Event significantly contributed for making the events a grand success. Top performers in each categories i.e. Sports, अन्नं ब्रह्म Food Festival and Sur Sangam were given cheques worth Rs.31,000 each and were sponsored by the Bank of Baroda. Ms. Nidhi Dharmadhikari, a student of M.Sc. Forensic Science (Semester-II), School of Forensic Science, was specially felicitated for her outstanding contribution in the field of Acrobatic Gymnastics and representing India at International Level. During the Prize Distribution Ceremony, Dr. J.M. Vyas, VC-NFSU encouraged and inspired the students to actively take part in Sports, Cultural and Extracurricular Activities alongwith Academics. Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Campus Director-NFSU, Gandhinagar gave the welcome address. Shri C.D. Jadeja, Executive Registrar, NFSU delivered the vote of thanks. Dr. Pranav R. Dave, Assistant Professor, NFSU presented a detailed report of Sports Week-2023. During the function, Deans, Associate Deans, Faculty Members of various Schools of NFSU, staff members and students were present. On 22nd March, 2023, "अन्नं ब्रह्म 1.0 - NFSU Food Festival" & "Sur Sangam" (Musical Evening) was inaugurated by Mrs. Pragnaben J. Vyas, Ahmedabad as a Chief Guest and Mrs. Meenaben K. Thaakar, Gandhinagar as a Guest of Honour. The enthusiastic participants had set up 20 food stalls, serving Indian and international delicacies in the NFSU Food Festival. 38 participants showcased their talent in Singing and Musical Instruments in "Sur Sangam" (Musical Evening).
