Dr. J.M. Vyas, founder Vice Chancellor of a unique and highly specialized, National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU) has been appointed as a member of India’s prestigious and well-known research and development organization, the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). Notably, the Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi Ji is the President of CSIR. It is a moment of pride for the forensic fraternity across the country. In a notification, it is written that for the purpose of the Societies Registration Act (XXI of 1860), the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research Society has been reconstituted by the Hon'ble Prime Minister (as the President, CSIR) with effect from 16th February, 2023 for a period of three years. Dr. J.M. Vyas, has been conferred with ‘Padma Shri’, one of the highest civilian Awards, has been awarded, on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day (Year-2022), for his extraordinary, distinguished and commendable services to the society in the field of Science and Engineering.
