Dr. S. Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister (EAM), India, inaugurated National Forensic Sciences University's first off-shore campus in Jinja, Uganda, on 12th April 2023. This was a historic moment and important milestone in expanding the forensic sciences initiatives abroad. During the inauguration ceremony, Ms. Lukia Isanga Nakadama, Hon'ble Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda; Mr. Vincent Ssempijja, Hon’ble Minister of Defence & Veteran Affairs, Uganda; General Odongo Jeje, Hon’ble Minister of Foreign Affairs, Uganda; Dr. J.M. Vyas, the founder Vice-Chancellor of NFSU, were present. A bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between India and Uganda on setting up the first-ever Campus of NFSU outside India. MoU was signed by Dr. S. Jaishankar, External Affairs Minister (EAM), India and Mr. Vincent Ssempijja, Hon’ble Minister of Defence & Veteran Affairs, Uganda. The High Commissioner of India to Uganda, Mr. A. Ajay Kumar, IFS; Prof. (Dr.) S.O. Junare, Campus Director-NFSU, Delhi Campus; Prof. (Dr.) Purvi Pokhariyal, Campus Director-NFSU, Gandhinagar Campus; Shri C.D. Jadeja, Executive Registrar-NFSU and Dr. Nilay Mistry, Associate Professor, NFSU were present during the inauguration ceremony.
